In this post, I tried to categorize the color schemes of JoJo figures.

Which color scheme do you like the most, which do you like the least, and which do you dislike completely? What kind of figures would you like more of?

Arts\*

By "arts" I mean colorings based on any of Araki's arts that aren't directly related to the manga, as well as drawings that can't be attributed to a specific part.

Or arts dedicated to a specific part, but released long after the end of a particular part. (For example, new illustrations for JOJO A-GO!GO!)

Alternative\*

By alternative colors, I mean colorings taken from artwork seen in the manga itself. This includes volume illustrations, volume covers, chapter covers, color first pages and the spine illustrations of the manga books.

(For example, all the special pages from Part 5 that were published while Part 5 was being written.

Or illustrations that are contemporary with their respective parts.)

Mix\*

Colors taken not from a specific image, but from several sources. A mix of several images featuring a character with similar colors.

For example, the colors of the second Jotaro in Part 4 are taken from several manga illustrations.

The color of the cap, coat, and pants is taken from Weekly Shonen Jump 1993 Issue #28.

The color of the vest and the turquoise color of the tank top are taken from Weekly Shonen Jump 1993 Issue #18.

The third Diego is inspired by Shueisha's colors, the anime, and Araki's special pages.

For example, the gold emblem on his belt is from Shueisha, the white stripes on his clothes are from the anime, and the red hair, blue eyes, and yellow lips are from Araki's coloring pages.

Original\*

By original colors, I mean colors that have never appeared anywhere before. Colors and combinations that are definitely not based on anything. These are colors created by Medicos Entertainment themselves.

Of course, the S.A.S series itself is not actually divided into color scheme types, and Medicos are not obliged to always follow any rules, and the choice of certain colors is made by designers at their discretion. But at the same time, Medicos remains true to the manga's color scheme, trying as much as possible to adhere to Araki's original colors. They choose colors that most closely reflect Araki's ideas, vision, and concept (probably).

Medicos also sometimes draw inspiration from other JoJo media, such as official anime adaptations and games.

Plus, as far as I know, Araki himself also took some part in the production of the figures, overseeing the colors and design solutions.

What type of colors do you like the most?
