Do the players who run the game but don't play it to boost playercount bother you? Why or why not?
At this point we know somewhere in the ballpark of 500 to 2000 people log in and sit in the menu, to boost playercount. Which means the CCU is almost always wrong by that amount. How we know this is when the game goes down for maintenance, there's still a lot of players remaining, and then we often see players complaining about matchmaking when there should be about 5k-6k players on.
So does it bother you? For me, it kind of does. It's not exactly doing anything positive, just mildly taking a jab at chart watchers. It doesn't look good on Bungie's papers whether they have 6k players or 4k players, they're both below the threshold they need massively.
I could see why it doesn't bother people though, for the same reason.
