CC1 Canvas install issues.

I posted in the Centauri Carbon community, but my CC1 which has worked perfectly since the day I got it, is not taking to the Canvas install well. First the USB cord inside the printer died once it was unplugged, and now the gearbox in the print head is shot. Everything is installed correctly, I triple-checked. And the more I have to lift, move, plug, unplug, assemble and disassemble this thing (especially now that the Canvas is bolted on) the more I worry that it's going to end up being a bricked piece of scrap in the process.
