Question for UK Etsy sellers/partner

I'm hoping to get some advice from experienced UK Etsy sellers.

I've developed a handmade vintage-style leather wallet and I'm considering Etsy as the main sales channel. Since I have manufacturing covered but no experience selling on Etsy, I'm trying to understand whether it's common for makers to work with existing Etsy shop owners, or whether it's generally better to open and grow your own shop from scratch.

Is there a market for premium unbranded leather accessories?

Have you ever collaborated with a maker or manufacturer?

What would you look for before considering a partnership?
