Am I the only one who thinks companies ghosting candidates after multiple interview rounds should be illegal?

Getting three rounds deep into an interview process, taking time off work, prepping for hours, then just… nothing. No rejection email, no update, nothing. Meanwhile if a candidate no-shows or ghosts a company, they’re blacklisted forever.

Feels like one side of this relationship has to follow basic professional norms and the other side just doesn’t. Not saying it should be illegal exactly, but there should be some kind of real accountability here. Anyone else fed up with this or is this just how it is now?
