I built a simple iOS app to stop forgetting subscription renewals

Hey everyone,

I’ve been building a small iOS side project after work.

It’s a simple app for tracking subscriptions, renewal dates, and reminders before you get charged again.

I started it because I noticed I had subscriptions spread everywhere: streaming, cloud storage, AI tools, productivity apps, random yearly plans… and I didn’t have one simple place to see what was coming next.

The goal is not to build a complex finance app.
I wanted something lightweight:

  • add a subscription quickly
  • see upcoming renewals
  • get reminders before payment dates
  • keep everything simple and local-first

One thing I’m learning is that building the app is easier than explaining the value clearly. “Subscription tracker” sounds simple, but positioning it in a way people instantly understand is harder than expected.

I’d love feedback from other builders:

What would make you actually use a subscription tracker?
Better reminders, spending overview, categories, yearly cost summary, or something else?
