My dad almost drove to the bank because of a scam call

My dad called me this morning saying his bank account had been compromised and someone from the bank told him he needed to withdraw cash immediately to keep it safe. He was literally getting ready to drive to the bank before he decided to call me first. I've told him to send any calls like that through me and tell me about it to at least vet it first but he aint listening to me, idk how to act or teach them, if anyone has any tips about it I would appreciate it
