Thinking of Becoming a Paralgel - Worried About Salary

hello. I’m 28 years old and currently have 3 years experience working in clinical research as an administrative assistant/receptionist and have a bachelors degree in psychology. I’ve been thinking about the future and my career and for the longest time felt lost. I am interested in becoming a paralegal and will be taking some courses to be ABA certified starting this fall. I make $24 an hour currently as an admin assistant at a clinical research company. I’m afraid of the possibility of earning less when starting out this new career, although it seems like I can work my way up- right now in my life I just can’t afford making any lower than what I already do. Any advice on if I should peruse this field/ what I can possibly do to make a higher salary once I receive the ABA certification despite not having any legal working experience.
