Looking to get back into Azur Lane

It's been a few years since I've played Azur Lane, and I want to try picking it up again. Are there any tips or things I should know?

I stopped during the Implacable event, and got her to level 70 something. Not sure if I have her MLB, but I should have enough UR bulins to MLB her.

I have all of the UR ships up to Implacable. I remember seeing Laffey II out and thinking it might be nice to get her as Laffey was my starter, but I didn't return at the time.

For the research ships I have all of series 1-3 done (unless they got even more upgrades in the time I was away), and should have most of series 4 done. I think I got one of the DRs in season 6 but don't remember clearly.

I don't think series 6 was released when I was playing before.
