Annoying thing in Regretevator, is this an intended feature or is it a bug?

i play on mac, if i tab out for a couple seconds to check discord or change music, going back to regretevator, i will like keep walking off to the side until the next floor happens and my movement feels heavy, it's incredibly annoying. this doesn't happen in any other roblox games. i tab out of games pretty often
