Hi everyone,

I'm a solo developer and I recently launched **SevenGrid**, a calm weekly habit tracker for Android.

**What problem does it solve?**

The streak guilt cycle. Most habit apps are built around a daily chain: miss one day, the streak resets to zero, and the app that was supposed to help you starts making you feel like a failure. That is usually the moment people quietly uninstall. SevenGrid removes the mechanism entirely. Your week is a 7-day grid, one row per habit. A missed day is just an empty cell, not a broken chain. There is nothing to "lose", so there is no reason to give up after one off day.

**Who is it for?**

People who have started and abandoned habit trackers before, usually right after a streak broke. And anyone who plans by the week rather than by the day: weekly goals like "three times a week" are the default, planned rest days never count against you, and there are "at most" goals for cutting back on things (fast food at most twice a week, for example). It is deliberately quiet, so it also suits people who find gamified apps overstimulating.

**Competitor, and what we do differently**

Habitica turns habits into a game with XP, avatars and rewards. That genuinely works for some people, but for everyone else it adds noise and a second job. SevenGrid is the opposite: no badges, no confetti, no levels, just the grid and a short optional weekly reflection with a mood check. Compared to classic chain trackers like Streaks or Loop Habit Tracker, the core unit is the week instead of the day, and the design forgives instead of punishing.

The other difference is privacy: everything stays local on your device. No account, no ads, and no tracking beyond an optional anonymous crash reporter you can switch off. Your data is still safe though: the app can back itself up automatically every day, as plain CSV files, into a folder you pick on your device (Downloads, SD card, or a folder synced to your own cloud). Backups survive an uninstall, restore is built in, and there is a manual export too. Your habits never touch my servers, because there are none.

**Pricing**

Free to use (up to 3 habits and your last 4 weeks; genuinely usable, not a trial). Pro (unlimited habits, full history, weekly stats) is a one-time lifetime purchase, never a subscription.

**Giveaway: 25 Pro codes for this community**

Comment below and I'll DM you a Google Play code for the full version while they last - first come, first served, one per person. The codes are valid until July 9, 2027, so there's no rush.

One tip: redeem your code right away so you don't forget about it. And if SevenGrid clicks for you, a quick review on the Play Store helps me out a ton.

Happy to answer anything about the app or the "no streaks" decision. Honest feedback, good or bad, is very welcome.
