Core workouts and running

What are some core workouts that have helped you?

I have anterolisthesis. I’ve had it since 2022. I feel a dull pain 90% of the time. Every now and then I get shooting pains down my left leg that last up to a minute. Usually a 4/10 most days.

My PT says I shouldn’t do any workout that requires me to bend over again and again (e.g. good mornings, RDLs) I’m assuming that also means sit ups and hanging leg lifts.

What are some core workouts that you would recommend. I do planks and hollow body holds but those are the only two I can think of that wouldn’t hurt me.

I used to run as well. A part of me feels like I can never run again because of my back. If I go on a run, not only do I get those shooting pains from time to time but the next day I’m in so much pain.

What is your experience with running and building a stable core?
