Hey everyone! I’m getting ready to purchase my first rep as soon as the version of the Chanel 25 I’m waiting for is released.
I’ve been a longtime lurker here. My original goal was to find the two-tone PVC Chanel bag from around 2023, but I never had any luck finding a a rep. Somewhere,I completely fell for the Chanel 25.
For the past few months, I’ve been reading QC posts almost daily, trying to sharpen my eye. Sometimes I’ll think a bag looks fantastic, only to open the comments and realize I missed several flaws that more experienced members caught immediately. It’s definitely made me realize I’m still honing my QC skills.
I’ve noticed a lot of people on RedNote do the same thing, they compare low to high tier, analyze details, and explain exactly what separates a high-tier bag from an average one. Some of those posts have been incredibly educational.
So I’m curious: what are your personal “tells” that immediately signal a high-tier Chanel versus a lower-tier one? Are there specific details you always check first, or certain flaws that instantly stand out?
I feel much more confident evaluating brands like Celine etc but Chanel is a completely different story. I’d love to hear what experienced members look for so I can continue training my eye before making my first purchase.
