WIBTA If I told my parents other people wanted to pay for my college.

AITA

This is my first AITA!! I M (18) just graduated high school, throughout senior year I had told my parents F (43) and M(40) that I wanted to go to my dream school which is out of state. I got into said school with a $65,000 scholarship (Which brings my tuition done to in-state price) along with some recommendations for the creative arts programs on campus. When I told my parents they weren’t happy at all, they got upset I didn’t pick to go to community college or even our local-ish university. I explained to them that I didn’t want to do to either because I wanted an Education degree to become a history teacher but wanted to focus in history rather than education. (it’s a long argument I can make) They don’t understand why I’d want to do it even though I’ve made my long argument with them before.

Cut to time I need to pay my enrollment fee along with my housing deposit. I went to my mom and asked for the money to be put into my account from my savings account. She then yelled at me saying I hadn’t talked to her about my plans and how it’s so sudden. I had been actively talking about my plans the months following up to this. She was complaining how I hadn’t done my FAFSA yet either but then saying that she knew my dad told me not to do it. I sat there and started crying as she berated me about how I’m trying to abandon them and leave them on their own. At the end she transferred me the money. I on my own paid for my housing deposit after this happened to save myself from another one of her meltdowns.

Cut to now, I told my doctor about my future plans and my mom glared at me. When we got home she went off about how I haven’t talked about it again and how there’s still time to go to local college or community college. I argued back how I had talked about it and she had yelled and belittled my plans. She said she would never had done that at all. I reluctantly agreed and she gave me a date to get her all the prices and argue my side (even though i already had months before). I went out with my grandma to lunch and told her about my mom had told me. She didn’t understand why my mom was complaining when my school would only come out to $15,000 a year. What confused us more is my mom said my school was $25,000 BEHIND MY BACK! My grandma offered to pay for half of my school no matter what.

Now here comes my question; WIBTA if I told my mom that my grandma offered to pay for half of my school on the day that I have to argue with her about my school.
