Moving to Wilmington at the end of year, wanting to buy a jetski overall questions

Hello all! I am planning on moving to wilmington at the end of the year, I always wanted to buy a fishing jetski and now that I will live so close to a river and ocean I might pull the trigger. But I do have a few questions:

First, I seen online there is a handful of public launch sites, I was wondering what people think would be the least busy/beginner friendly one. I say least busy because I don't disturb other boaters since I have never launched a boat or jetski before, maybe a best time/day to go as well to just practice? I saw online some said snows cut is good since it has a fee for launching, I am completely fine with that I saw they had a yearly pass would definitely grab one of those.

Secondly, there is a lot of mixed feelings online about towing jetskis on normal sedans, I have a 2017 mazda 3 that I would be using to pull a sea-doo fishing jetski, all together about 1,100-1,200 lbs. How steep/slippery are the local launch sites, anyones to stay clear of? In a perfect world I would own a truck but I just got the mazda sadly.

Also any experiences in the Memorial Pkwy, Wilmington, NC 28412 area? I am looking at a apartment there as it says it has parking for trailers as well, seems like a quite neighborhood but I have only been to wilmington on vacation, I am not a very picky person and if anyone knows areas with decent apartments that would be close to launch sites that would be awesome! That area seems like a good point halfway to the ocean and river, I am very much so not a city person as well and it seems a little secluded.

Also overall favorite restaurants and trails would be very appreciated!!
