What If, Messi represents Spain with Euro in mid 2000s-2012?

If Messi played in Euro for Spain, as he was granted Spanish Citizenship by 2005/6 that would have been a crazy cheat code for Spain? Or this would had any conflict with representing Argentina for world cup.
