Casio vs seiko vs citizen?

[Question] Hello, fairly new to posting on Reddit so bear with me on my question here.

I’ve just recently got interested into watches and have been doing some research on “budget” brands & have came across all these. I reckon my question is, what should I be looking out for when looking at different watches? Is it purely design, is it how the watches run, what makes one of these worse than a Rolex, or something prestigious? I understand Citizen has eco drive technology but that’s all I see differently really. Thanks in advance!
