Ways to hang decor on walls without damaging them?

I love to go all out for my kids birthday parties, and that usually means needing to hang decor on the walls. However I never want to damage them, so my go to right now is painters tape. It works, but only if you’re able to hide it.

Is there something else that anyone uses for party decor on walls that won’t damage the drywall/paint? Any input is much appreciated!
