ELI5 how DDG protects against malicious users

Obviously the privacy protection and lack of tracking features are great for the average user — but what about predatory searchers?

I’m referring to violence sites, CSAM, CP, dark web and adjacent kind of content. Duck.ai’s response was basically “we’re limited in what we can do” so I’m hoping there’s some cybersecurity experts on here that can help clarify. I read the privacy policy so I at least understand the legal limitations in handing over information for existing cases. I’m just hoping there’s more of a safeguard than simply blocking a few known sites or relying on user-initiated filtering.
