Lying about having a child

Over the past two months I have been hooking up with someone and now he is assuming I want to end things things because he finally admitted he has a child. When I said that I wanted to continue taking and I don’t want to end things he straight up isn’t responding to questions I ask about his child. I told him I have feelings for him because we have been hooking up and are a part of eachother’s routine through consistent texting and phone calls. Although I have been seeing this man casually when I asked in person whether he had any children he said no, he lied to my face. When discussing dating goals over the phone I mentioned a time where I got to know someone on a dating app because I didn’t realize the profile mentioned he had a child and although everything was going well I ultimately decided to end it because I don’t want to be a stepmom. I honestly have not even considered whether or not I want kids I don’t know. How would I even know id want to be a stepmom? He’s saying he’s just waiting for the text now where I tell him it’s over yet how can I make a decision if he isn’t opening up to me about when he became a dad etc.
