I’m reading mixed reviews

I wonder if the people who dislike this new version might like it better if it was just a show made from this era with an entirely different name? It’s hard not to compare to the old show when I’ve watched that for 50 years. I never read the books so I’m ignorant about what is fact, and what is inaccurate. When I try to separate this show in my mind from the old one, I do like it. Started a little slow but I’m enjoying.
