I am an artist. I love watercolor, ballpoint pens, acrylic paint, crayons. I want to try it all. I also make candles where I design every little detail, from the colors and scents to creating my own labels. I’ve always been a creative person.

I’ve been making art since I was a kid, and now I’m about to turn 30, so I’m constantly looking for new mediums and things to learn.

First and foremost, I’m a mom. My son is on the spectrum and is home for summer break, so he naturally needs a lot of my time, attention, and support. Because of that, I don’t have a ton of free time, which I’m sure a lot of people can relate to.

I’ve followed digital artists for a long time, and a few months ago I decided I wanted to dip my toes into digital and iPad art. If there’s one thing I can do, it’s get a quick sketch down and start experimenting. I’ve been playing around with overlays, shadows, line work, and figuring everything out as I go. Every cosmetic concept I’ve seen has had the artist’s own interpretation of the character, so I wanted to put my own artistic spin on Nea. I’ve also gotten really into anime over the last few years, so yes, that style definitely inspired some of my choices.

As for the details people pointed out, they were genuine mistakes on my part. The pink showing behind the tank top is supposed to be a separate sports bra. The sock mismatch was just a dumb mistake that I completely missed.

Did I rush it? Yeah. Did I make mistakes? Absolutely. I’m human, and I’m also a mom who is constantly being pulled in different directions.

I also made a post asking for feedback, and I genuinely appreciated the constructive criticism. I was upfront about using AI to help create a polished presentation for my concept. I understand why people took issue with that. I deleted the post, listened to what people had to say, and started over because I took that feedback to heart.

Lastly, I know AI is a huge concern for artists, and I don’t believe it should replace real art. Ever. I understand why my original post raised suspicion, but I honestly didn’t expect the level of backlash it received. Being told I don’t respect artists or that I should respect myself really hurt because it’s so far from who I am.

Nothing had been submitted. I was simply sharing an idea and looking for feedback, conversation, and ways to improve before submitting anything.

I love Dead by Daylight, and I love this community. I’ve always tried to be positive, support other creators, and have fun sharing things I’m passionate about.
At the end of the day, I’m just an artist who loves creating. Whether it’s painting, candle making, or learning digital art, I’m always going to keep trying new things and growing.
