An update on Einhar the kitty! He is home and doing well! The community has spoken on his name and so it shall be. I think he likes being named after the LEGEND from Path of Exile. Picture collage below!
A few weeks ago, "Little Buddy" as he was initially dubbed by me, showed up during a storm and never left. I refrained from naming him for a bit and though it wasn't planned, he is a part of our family now.
I asked the community to help me find a Path of Exile character to name this little guy after.
It's been a journey and we had some milestones that we had to cross to get here, but he has had all of the proper treatment needed and is doing very well.
He had hurt his leg, but it healed up well. He's jumping and playing all throughout the day.
Then he was fighting an issue with what I assume was an infection in his mouth and was feeling really rough. I was able to keep his mouth clean and feed him "cat food soup" and water via a syringe designed for giving meds and he took really well to it and bounced back to feeling even better than he was a few days later. His eyes are so much brighter.
The final hurdle was getting him proper care. The help I received from Cause for Paws was monumental and I am thankful. This was necessary for getting the help needed to safely integrate him as I have four other cats, so I had to keep them apart until I could afford his care and Cause for Paws was able to get a voucher over to the vet.
He's the calmest, coolest, sweetest unit of a cat. He lives up to his name. Einhar the Beastmaster and CHAMPION, indeed! He's 6 months old and 9 pounds already. He'll be a big boy when he's grown.
My girls are not having it with him, but his big brother Bubby, who sits at around 20 pounds is super chill and has been sitting with him, outside of the door for weeks now.
I just wanted to say thank you for helping me find his legendary name and thought you all might enjoy an update on him.
Cheers and stay sane Exiles,
Whale
P.S. Refrigerated banana for scale.
