5.4 huilian icloud connect question

hey! wondering if anyone with a pair of 5.4 (or even 5.3 huilians) can answer this for me as the guide and other posts can’t seem to answer my question.

im under the assumption that the rep icloud connect should allow me to connect multiple of my devices on the same apple id (so in my case an iphone, ipad, and macbook), and be able to switch between all three easily

i just got some 5.4 hulians to replace my old worn down 5.2HR but they can only connect to 2 devices at a time. for example, it can connect to my iphone and ipad at the same time but it won’t let me connect to my macbook without disconnecting from one of the other two devices first.

does the icloud connect only work between 2 devices or should it work between more than 2?
