Welcome to r/FindJobz — Let’s Help Each Other Find Real Work
Hey, and welcome aboard. Whether you just got laid off, you're fresh out of school, you're grinding through your 200th application, or you're a recruiter with roles to fill — you're in the right place. This is a community built to make the job hunt suck a little less.
Job searching can feel isolating and, honestly, kind of soul-crushing at times. The whole point of this sub is to give you a spot where real people share real leads, swap advice that actually works, and cheer each other on. No gatekeeping, no fluff.
What this community is for
- Sharing job openings — legit roles you've spotted, referrals you can offer, or positions your company is hiring for.
- Getting feedback — resumes, CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, portfolios. Post it, get honest eyes on it.
- Interview prep — mock questions, "what would you say to this?", salary negotiation, the works.
- Career advice — switching industries, dealing with gaps, remote vs. in-office, whatever's on your mind.
- Wins and vents — landed the offer? Brag about it. Got ghosted after four rounds? Vent about it. Both are welcome.
Quick ground rules (the short version)
- Be decent. We're all at different stages. No mocking, no elitism, no "just network bro" dismissiveness.
- No scams or pay-to-apply nonsense. If a post asks for money to "unlock" a job, report it. Real employers don't charge you to work for them.
- Real jobs only. If you're posting an opening, include the basics: title, location (or remote), a link or how to apply, and ideally a pay range. Vague "DM me for an opportunity" posts get removed.
- No spam or self-promo dumps. Sharing a genuinely useful tool or resource is fine. Blasting the same link ten times isn't.
- Keep personal info private. Don't post your full address, phone number, or anything sketchy people could misuse.
How to get the most out of this sub
- Introduce yourself in the comments below 👇 — what field are you in, what are you looking for, and where (city or remote)? You never know who's hiring or who's got a lead.
- Use flair so people can filter — "Hiring," "Seeking Work," "Resume Help," "Advice," etc.
- Give before you take. Answer someone else's question, share a lead, upvote helpful stuff. The best communities run on people pitching in, not just posting and dipping.
A little encouragement
If you're deep in the trenches right now, hear this: the job market's rough for a lot of people, and a slow search says nothing about your worth. Rejections are the norm, not a verdict on you. Keep applying, keep tweaking your approach, and lean on this community when you need to. Somebody here has been exactly where you are — and plenty have made it out the other side.
So — drop a comment, tell us who you are and what you're after, and let's get you hired. 🚀
