Lenovo 9i 2 in 1 Aura Edition 2026 vs MacBook Pro M5

Sort of silly to ask but I haven’t really had a laptop in over a decade (I gotta a gaming pc) but I’m looking for something lighter and on the go with a beautiful display that I can take with me. My iPad is 6 years old too.

A part of me misses the Apple OS (had a MacBook my entire life until I got my gaming pc in 2020) but something about the 9i is breathtaking. I saw it up close tested it and loved everything about it. I just never owned one before or a non Apple laptop lol

My main uses for it will be to watch anime, read, browse the internet and do the occasional work on it and something I can take with me. The OLED screen is beautiful, I love the 2in1 experience too and the overall build quality is perfection. It seems right in paper.

The M5 seems a bit overkill tbh for my uses and it’s still beautiful with its Retina Display. But rumors suggest M6 might be OLED with built in AI but still ways away. Kinda silly to think Apple haven’t made that leap. But I guess people get it for the ecosystem and the overall Apple experience.

I’m conflicted.
