Converting Acheron to Lancer

I have an Acheron I’ve been working on and off on for a while that I even took with me to a tournament a while back. he’s served me well but I think he might do a better job if I just turn him into a lancer since I didn’t really research which one was better before I got them, just went with rule of cool.

has anyone tried this before? is it worth the hassle or should I just keep him as an Acheron?
