Favorite stories where God, the writer or editorial just declared "Okay, we're done".
After listening to EPIC too many times and all the nonsense about the new movie I decided to finally read the Odyssey, and this is how it ends (spoilers for a millennia-old poem):
Odysseus is home with his wife and son and has finished cleaning up the bodies, but he's just informed his wife that he has to go BACK on tour to sacrifice at a bunch of shrines so Poseidon will calm the fuck down. At the same time the families of all the guys who were squatting in Odysseus's house and eating up all his shit have discovered the corpse pile and have turned up for revenge.
Just as the fight begins, Athena asks Zeus for permission to intervene. The gods come down, declare the fight over, exeunt.
