What happened to Blue Ribbion ice cream?

I used to love it when I was a kid. My parents would rarely buy it because it was "too expensive", but my grandparents could be relied upon to have it. At some point, they stopped buying it, so I never got to have it again. It was still available, so I think they just switched brands. Can't find it anywhere now, and all reference to it seems to have disappeared from the internet.
