First-Time UnionBank Credit Card User: Billing Date and Prepayment

Hi, everyone! I’m a new UnionBank credit card holder and have a couple of questions.

My application was approved on June 29, 2026. I received and activated my card on July 8, 2026. Since this is my first UnionBank credit card, I’m not sure when my first billing date or Statement of Account (SOA) will be.

Based on your experience, how long after approval or activation did you receive your first SOA?

Also, I’d like to make an advance payment before my first billing date. Is it okay to do this through the BPI app by making a regular credit card bill payment, even if I haven’t received my first statement yet?
