Inexpensive compact delay with dedicated slapback mode?
Hi! I'm working on my pedal steel board and I'm looking for a compact delay pedal with a dedicated slapback mode for ideally under $100, willing to go higher if it's really worth it. I'm not particular about analog or digital, the main thing is I want to be able to switch from normall epic rock delay to a vintage slapback delay pretty quickly. Other modes and junk are cool but not important
I was using the Deep Blue Delay and whereas it is wonderful the knobs are not very secure, I have to set the knobs every single time I get my board out of the case. Not a deal-breaker, but when you're already setting up a pedal steel guitar, it's nice to cut down on other small tasks... I got the Digitech Hardwire Delay/Looper and I'm really happy with how quickly I can switch between the two delays I need, the knobs are solid and don't turn in the pedalboard bag but there are a couple of deal breakers- it is so dang, big and heavy, it's hanging off the side of my board and, strangely, there is a noticeable volume boost in the dry signal in every single mode. If I could cut a third off of this thing and rid of the volume boost it would be perfect!
Not looking for anything boutique, I spend enough money on essential pedal steel and double bass gear that I'd like to stay under $100
