Junijirou's parents were a couple of half-elves who never accepted their mixed lineage and dreamed of being fully integrated into elven society. They would spend years in pursuit of this goal but as the decades went by their desperation grew, until eventually it led them to strike a deal with a devil to transform them into full and pure high elves in exchange for their souls, which they planned on not delivering after using a fraction of their newly gained longevity studying the contract in search for loopholes.

When their first child was born with hellish features, they would discover the devil had also marked their bloodline so that every one of their descendents would bear the semblance of a devil, as if to mock them for planning to break their contact before it was even signed.

This child would be raised in secret and shame, assuming he was cursed at birth or had a tainted soul which was reflected in his body. From his teenage to early adult years he would roam his hometown at the darkest hours of the night in search of some way to transform himself, and he would eventually find hope in the form of a book containing mention of one powerful spell which was capable to transform a wish into reality. He would steal this book and take it home, but not before being intercepted by a couple civillians who were apalled and fearful of this crimson figure prowling in the night, but who would do nothing besides curse at him and  try to banish him.

The tiefling wasn't used to interacting with people and this encounter left him completely startled and overwhelmed, after reaching his home he would channel these big thoughts and emotions alongside the burning anger he felt about his existence into casting the powerful wish spell. Although the spell itself was far beyond the grasp of someone with seemingly no magical ability, the intensity of his emotions and his willpower was enough to manifest a psychic flare from the astral plane which planted itself within his mind and granted him the ability to control the magic forces of the world with sheer force of will.

Before he fully understood what happened he could hear the very thoughts of his parents as they rushed down to repremend  him from the noise he was making, and from their minds he caught glimpses of what truly gave him the likeness of a devil. Righteous anger burned within him hot enough to ignite and quickly spread throughout his room, in that moment he felt powerful enough to do anything in the world and the idea of spending the rest of his life hiding in the dark offended his very soul, so he used the cover provided by the smoke to flee from the house and leave his hometown for good in search of somewhere he can live being what he is and never having to hide again.
