Do I quit?

Okay so, I work at this high end retirement home as a server. It’s a lovely place, theres two resturants, a bistro for snacks and coffee, a pool, fitness centre and anything else old people need. All of the residents are nice and very understanding.

Management though is a little iffy, they’re all latin americans, which trickles down to the other servers, everyone there speaks spanish most of the time so I feel excluded, I cannot say anything either because the managers are constantly speaking spanish as well. The dishwasher doesn’t speak any english and got the job because the managers all speak spanish. There’s like maybe 2 of us who don’t speak spanish and I can tell they feel wierd about it too.

When I was first hired, I was given this long book that I had to read regarding the rules and regulations of working at this home. One thing I picked up on is that there is no abuse tolerated, whether it was physical, mental, sexual, financial, nothing. The other day though my manager told me that a resident was moving in, but he likes to make sexual comments and that really set me off.

I don’t have any other jobs lined up and this one pays a little above minimum wage to compensate for the fact that we don’t get tips. I’m sorry if the first little bit comes off as a little racist, I wasn’t trying to be, it just makes me a little uncomfortable.
