Is it weird to not have any AP classes as a junior?
I'm entering my junior year, and looking at my classes, I realize I don't have a single AP or college course — just a few advanced classes. Is that unusual? I know a couple of my friends are planning to take AP classes, and another one is in the honor society. It feels like I'm falling behind everyone else, and my sister definitely seems smarter than me. She's in advanced classes in middle school and will be taking Algebra 1 as a seventh grader. It's not really my fault; I never studied much and often went out to hang out with friends instead of doing my homework. I've got over 20 missing assignments. Yesterday, my mom suggested I should go to Mexico for college since she can't afford any colleges here. But if I went to Mexico, my grandpa might be able to pay for my education. I can't help feeling like I’ve let down my older sibling.
