Alleged eggplant (NYC zone 7b)

Hi community. I was sold this supposed eggplant transplant. But it’s been 7-8 weeks but it doesn’t look like the typical eggplant. I would love to know what I’m growing. Any ideas are much appreciated!

I’ve looked up photos and the results I got were either cinnamon vine or Chinese yam.

Garden context:
In ground vegetable garden, growing (and thriving ) near the canopy of a fig tree. No growing companions to speak of.
