How do I see token usage

I noticed every time at the start of a msg I send to Claude code that there is large token usage inside the app already.

I want to know what is making this usage, for example I send one message with sonnet and it says 30000 tokens, which is not right.

I think there is a skill or Claude MD but I already disabled most so I want to know if there is another way to see the token breakdown
