where all ancient elves mages?

(don’t really know what flair to use but eh we ball)

this might be a silly question, but all the ancient elves we see in the games have some sort of magical ability (except maybe abelas?)

and obvs the Fade was a big part of their world when Elvhenan thrived, so ancient elves could’ve born/made with some magical capabilities? or were they just regular smegular folk?

and were the evanuris revered as gods because they had exceptional magical ability or just because they were just mages??

idk some thoughts i had when making breakfast today lol
