LASEK enhancement after LASIK?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice from anyone who's had a LASEK enhancement after LASIK, as I'm really struggling to decide what to do.

I had LASIK 8 months ago and I'm due to have a LASEK enhancement in 6 days. Before surgery my prescription was around +3.50 in both eyes with astigmatism.

I've been told my prescription is now only around -0.25, which is obviously very small. This doesn't seem to reflect what I experience day to day. I struggle to read fairly large text on the TV (which my 66-year-old father can read without any problem!), and it's quite embarrassing how close I have to get to people in the street before I recognise them.

My surgeon has also talked me through all the possible complications of an enhancement, which has understandably made me quite anxious. I'm now questioning whether I'm better off just wearing glasses when I need them, rather than risking another procedure.

I've also had dry eyes on and off ever since my original LASIK surgery, and I'm worried that a second surgery could make this worse. On top of that, there's the slower recovery associated with LASEK.

I know it's my decision, and I completely appreciate that everyone's eyes, circumstances and outcomes are different, but would appreciate hearing any similar stories.
