Questions about weaning off PPI's
I'm thinking of weaning off mine, because I'm not sure how much they really help. My symtpoms got better as I changed my diet radically, and started PPI's. But I did those both at the same time so its hard to say if PPI's really made a difference. I know for sure diet is making way MORE of a difference. I see online that PPIs dont help most LPR sufferers. For context, Ive been on Lansoprozole 30mg daily for 2 years.
My first question for those who have weaned off is: Did you find after the "acid rebound" stage calmed down, that your symptoms were back to normal, and that the PPIs had little/no effect in the first place? My other question: how was weaning off? How long was it for you and how rough was the rebound?
