Masters and or PhD in Psychology?
Hello everyone,
As I finish my bachelors degree in psychology I am feeling a little uncertain on where I should start next.
My end goal is to become a licensed clinical psychologist. I have interest in being able to practice counseling as well as assess and diagnose. Additionally, I really enjoy research and potentially want to explore forensic psychology one day as well.
As of now, I am unsure of where to leap next. From my understanding, I am able to possibly enroll in a PhD program and obtain my masters at the same time? I did hear just by reading a little bit online that jumping into my masters, and then a PhD program would be more of an expensive route for what I would like to do. I take it with the grain of salt as I’m not sure how true that is.
I am also looking for an online program if I decide to start with my masters next, however, I’m open to the idea that that may not be as possible.
So I guess I just kind of feel lost in the sauce. If anybody has some advice to share on what they did or recommend I do I’d greatly appreciate it!
