How do I find & close clients in US remotely?

Alright , so I'm based in Middle East & have been doing Web Development & Sales for almost 1.5 Years. When I started sales , I tried to reach out clients in both US & my local market.

For US I tried Facebook , using keywords to search for businesses that may benefit from a website. If they had an old or no website , I messaged them on messenger or sometimes even cold called(which did not go as planned cause it felt like they thought I was some sort of scammer lol).

Anyways , I started focusing on Local market more , found clients via Facebook , Google Maps Mostly(searching business keywords in locations where the potential client was most likely located) and sometimes referral.

Tbh this approach has worked really well , I found clients contacted them via Whatsapp then cold call , arranged meeting and if they are interested & I got the project and a really solid contact most of the times.

The only major con's with this approach is :
1)Over-dependency on local market.
2)People pay relatively less in this market because almost everyone has a connection in 3rd World Countries like Pakistan/India.

Now with good amount of projects on my back , confidence to deal with clients from different backgrounds and the ability to deliver what I promise on time , I want to explore markets that pay better and reduce my over-dependency on the local market.

US is on the top of my list but I cannot find a good productive/efficient way to start it. Upwork etc is out of equation due to extremely cheap rates(and even low quality sometimes).

One thing I want todo is find clients via google maps , but I am not aware of areas in the US where clients who'd be open to website proposal reside and what niche they belong to.

So feel free let me know your thoughts and insights or whatever you may think would benefit me. Ty
