Meta app never working right the first time

I’ve owned 5 different gaming pcs and there hasn’t been ONE time where the meta link app worked correctly the first time without me having to restart my pc at least 3 times. Is there a reason why this app always gives me some kind of issue? And is there an alternative app I can use to play my steam games so that I don’t have to use the meta link app
