Books with a Mentally Unstable MMC?

I am looking for books where the MMC is diagnosed by mental illness or any significant psychology disorder.

I want to truly feel the intensity of his condition through his POV. He could be a sociopath, psychopath, emotionally detached or someone who struggles to understand or interact with people.

I'm not just looking for a character who is simply "Morally grey" or possessive. I want his mental state to play a major role in the story and influence the way he thinks, feels, and behaves.

Things I'm looking for 👉

● He is admitted to a mental asylum or psychiatric ward/hospital.

● FMC can be a staff member at the hospital or his therapist/doctor etc.

● MMC acts clingy or childlike around the FMC.

● MMC is an attention seeker so whenever FMC is around he craves her attention.

● Mature FMC who understands MMC's condition and treats him with patience and care.

● I want plenty cute and heart-warming moments between them, with MMC who genuinely trying to get better because he knows that he is mentally unstable.

● Possessive MMC + "Touch her and die trope."

● Well developed plot with strong writing.

And please don't recommend Limerence by HC Dolores.
