I’ve noticed a specific physical trait that seems quite common among many Middle Eastern/Arab people, as well as many Black people and individuals with lighter or olive skin tones. It’s a natural shading or darker ring around the eyes, which honestly looks like natural makeup or eyeliner.

​I find it a really striking feature and was curious about the science or genetics behind it. Do you know why this trait is so prominent in Middle Eastern populations? I wanted to ask the community directly to learn more about it. Hopefully this is okay to ask just genuinely curious!
