Best coding agent to run on Mac M4 Pro (16GB)

I have recently used Codex by OpenAI and it is legit too good for backend related tasks (php - laravel).

I am kinda skeptical about paying for an agent to do the job I am getting paid for. So thinking about setting local free open source llm on my mac with ollama as my coding agent.

I am relatively new to this coding agent stuff. So, guide a fellow developer.

Btw my plan is for my agent to do my job so I can upskill even during my work hours and grow as a developer lol
