Why shit on TD?

I've been on TD for like over a decade and have almost always been able to find what I'm looking for with some exceptions but every private tracker list I see rates it as like D+ or worse.
I'm in SeedPool too but have always found more options in TD than what I see there, yet SP is rated really high on most trackers.

I guess, even as an old salty sailor, I don't understand what I'm missing on why some trackers are so highly prized why others are shit on.
