Dashcam - VW Virtus

I ordered Blaupunkt Dashcam DC 4050 WiFi online and wanted to install it in my car.

The plan was to install it during my scheduled service (4th year). But the service executive said that they won't install third party accessories in cars. Understandable.

They proposed to buy another dashcam from them for a higher price, only then they'll install themselves (same 12V).

The issue is, when I asked, if I install this with the help of any third party, will it in anyway affect my warranty of the car. No one gave me an concrete answer. They didn't even respond properly when asked. One guy even asked me to leave and come back during business hours. The showroom was open, so does the service centre. I was like, what?

So, my question is, has anyone install Dashcam in VW Virtus? Do you know anything about warranty?

Since VW Virtus keeps the 12V running even after the car is off, I'm planning to use the USB - C port. This way, I can save my battery and install the dashcam. Only possible solution that I can think of.

Anything else that I should know?
