RC Health Services Skills Days Prep
hello!
i am in the middle of making a career shift and looking to get my EMT-B in preparation to join my local FD with no prior experience in this field (mainly worked office jobs my whole life [27]). i signed up with RC Health Services and have reached the point where i am able to request to schedule my skills days. as i do not feel 100% ready to schedule them yet (i want to spend some more time studying terminology, normal vitals, etc..) i wanted to know if anyone here had insight regarding how i should prepare for those skills days and what i need to really hone in on prior to going. i have the pocket prep app, have a playlist of the paramedic coach ready to go for my studies, and have been using quizlet to help remember how to handle certain situations and retain knowledge of the terminology.
i have heard generally negative things about this program in my limited research, but it seemed to be the best option for me at the time given i work remotely full-time. i have an idea of which location i will need to travel to to get the skills days done, i just really am looking to know what to expect and what to really focus on in preparation to ace the skills tests.
any insight or help is greatly appreciated! i am also willing to provide any more context needed.
