The vastness of the universe and our insignificance in it

It seems that all religions are mostly created by self-centered ancient people and in these religions, the believers are the main characters of this show and gods are just moving behind the scenes. At the time, no one knew how insignificant are we and our whole planet. I think there is no religion that would accept that there was a Big Bang and abiogenesis on Earth, an abiogenesis that can happen on other planets too. I think that once you accept that we are made of chemicals, just like the other "non-living" objects, then there's no room for any gods. The gods were just filling the science gaps of their time.
