Remote volume control?

I want to try gaming with IEM's but..... I strongly prefer a physical interface for volume control. Also my pc is not in a convenient location to plug a 3.5mm jack into. I assume there is a reasonable solution for both those issues.

I would like to mount a volume knob on or under my desk and be able to plug my 3.5mm jack into that. I would also like to avoid cables over my keyboard and mouse area.

My budget is no more than 100 usd, under 50 preferred.

Ideally a single cable/device solution i.e. no extra cables or connectors. No barrel jack power cord. No seperate RCA to usb to 3.5 to proprietary connector adapter nonsense. Not a strict rule but a very strong preference.

I'm certainly open to dac/amp but don't think I need one. They all seem fairly cheep/basic or overpriced and gimmicky.
